Spread the love

djDecks allows you to use the computer as a mixer and merge mp3, ogg and wav files while recording or performing. The new 0.62 release adds support for Windows Media Audio, among other things, and it is possible to play a song from CD. Unfortunately, this version also has a nasty bug that resets the BPM count when opening a track in the other player:

It appears that there is a bug in v0.62. The bug resets the speed of the playing song when loading a new song in the other player. It only happens in DirectSound mode (not in ASIO mode). The fixed version will be available this weekend.

v0.62

  • Added feature to route up to 2 ASIO channels (for instance from line
  • in) through effects to ASIO outputs (so you could use an external deck or cd player through djDecks)
  • Added WMA playback support
  • Updated ogg vorbis encoding to vorbis v1.0.1
  • Updated lame mp3 encoder to v3.95.1
  • Updated FMod to v3.71
  • Added playback from audio cd (pitch and effects available, no cue channel in DirectSound mode, only 1 song at a time from one cd drive, uses freedb to retrieve titles)
  • Added storing of id3 tags in a small database, so loading of folders is a lot faster
  • Fixed a small bugs with writing of ID3v2 tags (with some files, tags were not written)
  • Improved sound quality when changing tempo without changing pitch
  • Added ASIO output mode (with higher quality resampling and lower latency)
  • Disc on each player now spins at 45rpm, and the position on the disc is linked to the position in the song
  • Improved spectrum analyzer accuracy (may also improve bpm detection)
  • Hercules DJ Console support
