Anonymous: 46716 sends us the following text: “The new Detonator 52.13 is leaked† These drivers would do very well and get more frames per second. Guru3D has had some issues with these drivers because the video card fans would turn off after a while. However, the problem seems to be only with them, as other users have not had this problem yet:”

As part of our procedure before making a driver life (virus/trojan checking and testing the actual driver) I ran some tests on them with a 5900 Ultra. The minute a Direct3D scene is rendered the active fan will stop spinning. The game then exits with an error-code from NVIDIA ‘Sentinel error – and something with power’.

Okay after two thousand downloads the past two hours combined with a decent amount of feedback no-one reported the fan issue. So it must be something on our end. Better safe than sorry though and thus check that fan for the time being![break]
