Spread the love
Even in 2026, streaming services will continue to offer fresh viewing entertainment to subscribers. Of course, we’ll continue to help you separate the wheat from the chaff, and take you through the best new additions of the week on streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This way you immediately know what to turn on the television for this weekend.

Tron: Ares (HBO Max)

The very first Tron film from the eighties single-handedly created a completely new visual style and has since become an indispensable part of our pop culture. In 2010, after almost three decades of waiting, the sequel was finally released, which proved that this retrofuturistic style is still very attractive. We have now arrived at the third part Tron: Ares, which can now be seen on HBO Max. Here we are introduced to Ares (played by Jared Leto), an advanced computer program sent from the digital world into the real world, bringing humans and AI into contact for the first time. Expect flashy action to die for!

Pokémon Horizons Season 3A (Netflix)

The classic Pokémon cartoon series ran for decades and millions of people became fans of the adventures of Ash and Pikachu. Ash has now said goodbye to the series and the new series Pokémon Horizons has been the place to experience exciting Pokémon adventures for some time now. The first part of the third season is now on Netflix, in which we explore the Paldea region from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet together with Liko and Roy. Perfect viewing material for the youth or people who are still young at heart!

The Cult Behind the Killer: The Andrea Yates Story (HBO Max)

There has been no shortage of true crime documentaries on streaming services lately. That is not surprising, because the audience devours these exciting productions as if their lives depend on it. HBO Max’s latest achievement is The Cult Behind the Killer: The Andrea Yates Story. This documentary zooms in on Andrea Yates, who drowned her own children at the beginning of this century. Although she was initially convicted, she was later acquitted because she was found to be incompetent. Time to zoom in on that and see exactly how the fork fits into the handle.

The Night Manager season 2 (Amazon Prime Video)

Exactly ten years ago we were presented with the exciting miniseries The Night Manager. In it we saw how former soldier Jonathan Pine (phenomenally played by Tom Hiddleston) is roped into going undercover for a criminal arms dealer during his current work as a hotel manager in Cairo. The series turned out to be an exciting spy thriller that deservedly won prizes. This Sunday the second season finally starts on Amazon Prime Video, in which Pine is once again drawn into the world of espionage and travels from London to Colombia. A new episode is released every week, so hopefully the tension won’t be too much for you!

The Pitt season 2 (HBO Max)

Hospital series are always in great demand among the general public, but The Pitt managed to do the impossible and also get critical gourmets on its side thanks to the strong acting, exciting scripts and, above all, the realism with which the Emergency Department of a hospital in Pittsburgh is depicted. The second season has finally started on HBO Max. This means that you can enjoy the vicissitudes on the hospital floor for another fifteen weeks, both around the patients and among the employees.
