Download 7-Zip 24.04 beta

Version 24.04 of 7-Zip has been released, a development version. This open source archive program can handle a large number of compression formats, including zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb and of course the proprietary 7z. Furthermore, the software is capable of opening ISO files and NSIS installation packages. The changelog for this release looks like this:

What's new after 7-Zip 24.03:

• New menu item in 7-Zip File Manager: “Tools / Delete Temporary Files…”. This menu item opens a window showing temporary folders and files created by 7-Zip in the user's “Temp” folder on a Windows system. In this window, the user can delete temporary files.
