Download PlexTools Professional 2.14

Plextor has released version 2.14 for its PlexTools Professional. This upgrade only works if you have a Plextor optical drive and an older version of the software must already be installed. What exactly has changed is not entirely clear, as the release notes have not been updated and still have stories about the previous version. Plextor does have the following to say about the software:

PlexTools® software allows you to control the most important functions of your Plextor CD-ROM drive(s) or CD-Recorder(s) with an easy-to-use interface. This software provides powerful functions for your Plextor drive(s), running under the Microsoft Windows 98SE/ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP Operating System. It permits drive identification and control, the display of Compact Disc information, Digital Audio Extraction, CD copying, and more… Additional features include the retrieval of the SCSI/ATAPI system information and logging of Digital Audio Extraction or CD writing activities.
