Download Firmware Eminent EM7080 hdMEDIA RT 1.0.4.11

Eminent has released new firmware for the EM7080 hdMEDIA RT media player. On the GoT, experiences and opinions about this device can be shared in this topic. New in this release is support for the Network File System protocol, which is used by various NAS systems, among others. Version 1.0.4.11 sees the return of the NTP client, which was accidentally missing in version 1.0.4.10, and some improvements to YouTube video playback.

Release notes for version 1.0.4.11:

• YouTube improvement, now plays all possible media (except where EMBED is disabled.)
• Harddisk no longer required for YouTube, and works right after boot.
• Fixed issue: NTP client was missing in 1.0.4.10

To install the firmware:

• Extract the firmware.
• Copy install.img to your USB stick, and insert the USB stick into the top USB port.
• Turn off the media player and press and hold the button on the bottom of the media player and turn on the media player. Press and hold the button at the bottom until the media player shows an upgrade screen.

Note: The button at the bottom is present on the circuit board and can be reached by turning the media player over. The button is visible at the top left of the cooling grille.
