Jetico has released version 1.0.1.42 of its Personal Firewall. The firewall software uses a so-called three-layer protection. First of all, the low-level network packets are filtered on, for example, source, final destination, addressing and protocols. In addition, there is filtering at application level, where network traffic per program is monitored. Finally, there is filtering at the user-level level.
