Pictures of what would become the HTC U23 Pro smartphone have emerged. A user claims to have bought the phone in a city in China. It appears to be an early prototype of the Android smartphone.

The phone has a plastic frame and back, the user reports on PTT.cc. There are four lenses on the back and the text mentions at least a 108-megapixel camera. That is presumably the resolution of the primary camera. There are no further details about the camera.

The screen is an OLED display of unknown size with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The soc is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 from last year, assisted by a working memory with a size of 8GB and a storage with a capacity of 256GB. There is a fingerprint scanner in the Power button. In addition to the USB-C port, charging can also be done via wireless charging. The battery has a capacity of 4600mAh.

With the soc used, it seems to be a midrange telephone. HTC has not made phones itself for years, but has outsourced the design and production to other companies. HTC has reportedly had more of a say with this phone than with many other recent phones in the Desire and Wildfire ranges.
