Razer releases lavishly equipped BlackWidow V4 Pro keyboard for 270 euros
Razer has released the BlackWidow V4 Pro. The wired keyboard is equipped with many functionalities and decoration. It has RGB lighting, eight macro buttons, media controls, and two dials. Razer asks 270 euros for it.
The dial at the top left of the board turns users with a ‘clock’ orientation and the dial at the top right actually ‘rolls’, as Razer’s footage also shows. Examples that the American company gives of the functions of the top left dial are switching apps, switching tabs, zooming, scrolling, adjusting the brightness of the LEDs and more. The ‘roller’ is well suited for things like volume, screen brightness and other media-related matters, according to the maker.
Buyers have a choice of two types of switches: the green and the yellow, both made by Razer itself. Green is a switch with both a tactile bump and a click sound, and yellow is a linear switch that makes less noise and has no bump. Razer has a webpage detailing it more technical details about the switches gives. On top of the switches are doubleshot abs keycaps.
Of all those buttons, there are five macro keys. These can therefore be set up to fulfill many different functionalities or combinations of functionalities. Five are regular keys and three are smaller keys that are more on the side of the device.
The BlackWidow V4 Pro also has a USB 2.0 pass-through port, a housing made of 5052 aluminum, a polling rate of 8000Hz and storage space for five different profiles, in which the settings are stored. An unlimited number of profiles can be stored ‘in the cloud’. A magnetic leatherette wrist rest is also included. It also has RGB LEDs.
Razer has immediately released the BlackWidow V4 Pro. The keyboard is for sale both at individual points of sale and at Razer itself.
