Download Firmware Asus RT-N56U 1.0.0.9 (gpl)

Asus has released new firmware for its RT-N56Urouters and fixed the version number to 1.0.0.9. This firmware is released under the gpl. The router has one WAN port, four LAN ports and five internal antennas for offering 802.11a/b/g/n. The list of changes of this firmware release is as follows:

Version 0604:

• Support R/CF Memory.

Version 0504:

• Updated PCIE Spread Spectrum.
• Implement new ES edition BIOS.
• Fix USB Timer SMI keeps trigger under Windows.(this problem only appears when running normal POST and no legacy USB device exist)
• Update BIOS update modules.(PE Firmware Update, PE Loader, PE Subsystem)

Version 0402:

• Update EC firmware to EPCD-055 to fix sometimes press power button problems.
• Set boot sound value default to 4.
• Modify thermal policy
• Fix the boot block backup mechanism
• Fix Creshfree(Alt+F2) will cause system hanging
