Download Total Commander 7.04a

An update of Total Commander was released on Friday. This program is intended as a replacement for Windows Explorer. Because the image is split in two, it is easy to copy files, but the program can do much more. For example, there are various ways to modify files, there is a built-in ftp client and a multi-rename tool and there is support for a large number of compression formats. Furthermore, the functionality can be extended with plugins. The main change in this release is to fix the issue where the file under the cursor was sometimes deleted instead of the files selected when changing the current folder behind the confirmation screen. • Fixed: Delete function could delete file under cursor instead of selected files if directory content was changed in the background while delete confirmation dialog was up

• Fixed: AES encryption not starting on 64bit Windows when using x64DisableRedirection=1
• Fixed: Lister: RTF find next function (F3) always skipped one occurrence of the search result
• Fixed: Lister: RTF viewer text disappeared on resize on Win9x only
• Fixed: Lister: Binary mode no longer supported horizontal scrolling
• Fixed: Multi-volume RAR files not recognized if the first part contained more than one file (so the first file wasn’t split)

• Fixed: When opening self-extracting archive, limit search for CAB header to 2 MBytes to speed up opening of large archives
• Fixed: Ctrl+Q quick view title was only updated in archives

• Fixed: AES encryption not starting on NT4 due to an error in digital signature checking
• Fixed: Save position with TC maximized, minimize to tray checked, start TC minimized via lnk file -> access violation
• Fixed: Alt+F9 on multi-volume RAR no longer called external rar unpacker, but unpacked only the file under the cursor internally
