Download VisualHub 1.1.7

Spread the love

The VisualHub program can be seen as a further development of iSquint with which you can easily convert all kinds of video material on the Mac OS X platform to, for example, the video format for the iPod, PSP, Wii and Tivo. The program supports Xgrid with which you can distribute the encoding of the video material over the connected Macs. For more information, we refer you to this page and this manual in pdf. The developer has released version 1.1.7 with the following changes since the previous entry in the muck tracker:

Version 1.1.7:

  • VisualHub now creates video for the Nintendo Wii! Check the AVI Profiles pulldown.
  • Playstation 3 should be supported via the MPEG and MP4 tabs. I’d test it if I could get one…and I can even deduct it from my taxes!
  • Better aspect ratio detection for troublesome DVD sources.
  • QuickTime movies now converted with more precise frame rates.
  • DVD Audio Language Selection Menu
  • German Localization by Hendrik Frank

Version 1.1.6:

  • Japanese Localization by E-WA
  • When cropping out letterboxing or other big chunks of black bars, VisualHub will now intelligently decide the new aspect ratio.
  • Solved problem of muddy gray artifacts at the beginning of some clips when doing high quality H.264 encoding for iPod.
  • Non-DVD-authored files are now compatible with Toast n’ friends.
  • FLV files from horrible places (like MySpace) now convert with working audio.
  • TwoPass H.264 encodes no longer leave a log file on the drive.
  • A bunch of sanity fixes/tweaks.
  • Fixes to the French translation.
  • Fixes to the Italian translation.
