Download PassMark BurnInTest 5.3 build 1012 rev 0002

PassMark Software released revision 0002 of version 5.3 build 1012 of BurnInTest yesterday. This program puts the proverbial fire to the shins of the various parts of the computer in order to test the reliability and stability of the system. The software is available in a standard and a professional edition, with the latter also available for download in a 32-bit and a 64-bit flavour. The professional edition is able to test more hardware, including tape drives and, for example, the parallel, serial and USB ports. In addition, the Pro version also has more extensive memory tests. More information about the differences between them is here to find. Below are all the changes that have been made to the program since the previous entry in the Meuktracker:

Changes in version 5.3 build 1012 rev 0002:

• New build of Rebooter (64-bit Windows correction).
• Clarifications in the help file.

Changes in version 5.3 build 1012:

• Changed the Standard Network Test, “Test all available NICs” such that the number of Network Addresses specified in Preferences->Network will be the number of NICs tested. This will error faulty NICs that are not detected by the BurnInTest auto NIC detection mechanism.
• Minor change to the 2D memory test when run with the 3D test (multiple large windows) and the RAM test. Aimed at correcting sympton: Access Violation 0x00404CF9.
• Corrections to the mapping of paths with “.\”.

Changes in version 5.3 build 1011 rev 0002:

• Modified the Multi-Process torture test to better describe a new error message introduced in V5.3.1010.
