Download The GIMP 2.4.0

The folks at the ‘GNU Image Manipulation Program’ have released a new version of the image editing program The GIMP released. It concerns version 2.4.0, which can be downloaded from this ftp folder or this page can be downloaded for Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, and Mac OS X. The GIMP is considered the open source counterpart of Adobe Photoshop. The program offers extensive options for editing images and saving them in a large number of formats. The developers have provided version 2.4.0 with a new default icon theme, new selection tools and scalable brushes. In this document describes what else has changed in the revamped GIMP.
