The upgraded Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 12GB, rumored to be coming soon, may get as many CUDA cores as the GeForce RTX 2060 Super. VideoCardz reports that. According to that website, the RTX 2060 12GB will be announced in early December.

VideoCardz anonymous sources report that the upcoming GeForce RTX 2060 12GB will have 2176 CUDA cores. That’s as many as the RTX 2060 Super; the ‘regular’ RTX 2060 has 1920 CUDA cores. The boost clock of the RTX 2060 12GB should also be the same as that of the Super variant, with 1650MHz.

VideoCardz also writes that the RTX 2060 12GB will have a TDP of 184W. That is higher than the RTX 2060 Super, which has a TDP of 175W. This difference may be explained by the extra memory that the upcoming RTX 2060 will receive 12GB, compared to the RTX 2060 Super with 8GB of memory. Both models have 14Gbit/s GDDR6 modules. The new RTX 2060 12GB would get a smaller 192-bit memory bus, and therefore offer a lower memory bandwidth.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 12GB is planned for December 7, according to VideoCardz. It should become a cheaper alternative to the RTX 3060. Nvidia would release the GeForce RTX 2060 12GB because of the persistent chip shortages, making new video cards difficult to obtain and expensive. Rumors had previously circulated about the arrival of an RTX 2060 12GB, although it was still expected that the video card would get 1920 CUDA cores.
