Sublime Text is a comprehensive text editor that will especially appeal to programmers. Among the long list of features we find include a minimap, the ability to select different sections in a text for editing at the same time, syntax highlighting with support for over 40 languages, and the ability to switch from macros and on Python based plugins to use. Sublime Text is available for Windows, Linux, and OS X. A license costs $70 and is per user, not per machine. Version 3.0 is currently in development and we have now reached build 3124. The changelog for this release looks like this:

• Settings now open in a new window, with the default and user settings side-by-side
• Hovering over a symbol will show a popup indicating where it’s defined. This is controlled with the show_definitions setting.
