Instagram will get offline mode in the future

Photo application Instagram will get an offline mode in the future, where the app will preload photos and comments for users to view later. Now the app only works to a limited extent if the user is not connected.

The offline mode should especially be a godsend in developing countries where many people often come to areas with little bandwidth or without connection, according to the description of a session at Facebook developer conference F8. Instagram is part of Facebook.

Facebook mentions that it has already tested such a feature, but it says nothing about when the app will have to work offline. Presumably, over a high-speed connection, the app can cache a lot of data and then show photos and comments to users.

In recent years, the social network has paid more and more attention to users with a less good internet connection. For example, a few years ago, it came with Facebook Lite, a light version of its app that consumes less data and also boots faster on slower phones.
