Ubisoft announced during the Gamescom trade show that the game The Settlers will be released in the fall of 2019. This marks the launch of Blue Byte’s new title 25 years after the original The Settlers game.

The new The Settlers is made with Ubisoft’s Snowdrop engine. Aside from the cinematic trailer shown at the Gamescom trade show, few further details have been revealed. An exact release date is also unknown, but it is clear that with The Settlers the makers are building on the traditional gameplay of the series, but also giving it a new twist. There will be a new food system, among other things, and the campaign and the other missions can be played solo or in co-op mode. There are also multiple multiplayer modes in the game.

Ubisoft has also announced The Settlers: History Collection. This is a compilation of all seven games in the series, all of which have been modernized for today’s PCs. The entire collection will be released for PC on November 15, but the first part of the series will be available in the Uplay store from Tuesday.
