Tinder releases Loops feature for video as profile picture in Benelux

Dating app Tinder is releasing the Loops feature, where users can add a two-second video instead of a profile photo in the Benelux. Loops only work on iOS for now.

In addition to the Benelux, Loops also work for users in Germany, the United Kingdom and France, among others, Tinder reports. The feature is not yet available on Android and it is unknown when Tinder will make the videos in the profile picture location available to the platform.

Users can cut the two-second video from a longer video. The two-second version can be seen by other users in the place of a photo in the user profile. Tinder loops the video, a feature from which the Loop takes its name.

It is the first time that Tinder allows users to add motion pictures to the profile. In addition, there should be a function to expand the number of places for footage, photo or Loop, from six to nine. Tinder has been testing the feature with users in Canada and Sweden since April.
