John Justice has left Google. He has been vice president and head of product of game streaming service Stadia since early 2019. In that role, he focused on ‘the consumer experience’ of Stadia. It is unknown why he is gone.

Google confirms to 9to5google that Justice has left the company, but the parent company of Stadia does not provide any further explanation. The departure of Justice was reported by The Information, he himself has not yet given any clarity.

It is not clear what the consequences of Justice’s departure will be. In his role as head of product, he was responsible for issues related to the consumer experience of the service. In the past, he also told the audience what’s coming up at Stadia.

At the beginning of this year, Google closed its own Stadia studios and it was announced that it will no longer develop its own games for the service. Google will continue with Stadia, but will only continue the service as a platform for other publishers and developers to put their games on.

Jade Raymond, the Canadian top woman in charge of the Stadia studio, also left Google. She has founded a new studio and started a partnership with Sony to develop a PlayStation game.
