Sony has announced the Vario-Tessar T FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS for its Alpha 7 series full-frame cameras. The Japanese company will release the wide-angle lens in Europe in November, for an amount of 1350 euros.

The Zeiss 16-35mm F4 wide-angle comes alongside the SEL2470Z zoom and the SEL70200G telephoto zoom for Alpha 7 full-frame cameras. Sony combines the lens with its Optical SteadyShot-in-lens image stabilization and the weight is 518 grams. The filter diameter is 72mm. The accessory is made up of five aspherical lens elements, including a large AA model and three ed glass elements.

In addition, Sony showed four lenses for 35mm full-frame sensors that are yet to come at the Photokina fair. These are the FE 24-240mm F3.5-6.3 OSS, the FE 28mm F2, the Distagon T FE 35mm F1.4 ZA and the FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS. Two more converters should also appear: the FE Ultra Wide Converter and the FE Fisheye Converter. In total, Sony promises to release twenty lenses for the Alpha E-mount with support for 35mm full-frame sensors in 2016, without going into further detail.
