Download Xfire 1.55

Today version 1.55 of Xfire was released. This program is aimed at avid gamers and allows them to chat with others both in and out of games, easily find out what game the people on the contact list are playing and then easily add themselves to that game. Xfire can also help you find a fast game server with free places, game patches and demos can be downloaded via your own P2P network and there is the option of voice chat. Currently more than 550 games are supported, of which 155′one click join‘ and 317 support ‘in-game chat’. This release provides additional information about your friends. For example, it can already show in which realm they are in WoW, or the ranking and statistics in Battelfield 2. The intention is that additional information from other games is also added. Changes in version 1.55

• Added a new system of additional game data. When looking at a friend’s infoview:
  • World of Warcraft now displays the friend’s realm.
  • Battlefield 2 now displays the friend’s bf2 name, and lets you look up his official rank and statistics.
  • More game data will be added in future releases; we encourage modders to make plugins for more games.
• Added support for Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). If you have a NAT/firewall device that blocks some UDP traffic, Xfire will try to configure it using UPnP to enable voice chats and personal file transfers to any of your friends.
• Fixed a bizarre problem when clicking on certain ads in Xfire with Firefox as your default browser (previously, certain ads would open up multiple seemingly unrelated tabs).
• Fixed a major display glitch when running Xfire on pre-release versions of Windows Vista with the aero glass interface.
• Fixed several input and display bugs with group chats in Xfire In-Game.
