Download WebGUI 6.1.0 beta

A new version of WebGUI has appeared on the Plain Back Software website. With this program a website can be easily managed and set up without having to have extensive technical knowledge. The release notes look like this from version 6.1.0 beta:

The next release in our long road of refactoring is finally here. This release was focused on performance and scalability. Some of the new features support for replicated databases, a new faster page tree system, template caching, and a whole new internationalization and help system.

Overall most users should notice that pages load around 2 times faster than before. Administrators will notice that WebGUI processes use slightly less memory, but more of the memory is shared. Also, administrators will have a much easier time scaling WebGUI up to support very large sites.
