Voxelstein 3D is a first-person shooter based on Wolfenstein 3D and, unlike the original, does not use sprites, but uses voxels to render the image. For example, the first level of Voxelstein 3D is made up of more than 37 million voxels. The engine of the game also allows to destroy the levels. Furthermore, Voxelstein 3D has the same weapons, enemies, music and treasures as Wolfenstein 3D.

The latest version of the game has been given version number 0.101 and can be downloaded by clicking on this link downloadable for Windows. This version is a maintenance release of the previously released 0.1 release and contains a number of bug fixes and new features. For example, the game no longer crashes, memory leaks have been closed and it is possible to adjust the controls. The full changelog looks like this:
