UltraMon is only useful when using more than one display. After installing the program, it is possible to move a screen to another monitor or to enlarge it over all image guns with a single mouse click. The latest version is beta 1 of the 2.2 series and has the following changes:
UltraMon 2.2 Beta 1 introduces two new features, a custom Display Properties applet with support for more than 10 monitors, and support for multiple languages, the first additional language is German.
The following bugs have been fixed:
- Remote Desktop: when logging in locally again, UltraMon still only sees a single monitor
- Editing the keyboard shortcut for a hotkey with options doesn’t work
- Wrong keyboard shortcut shown for hotkey on the hotkey list
- Shortcuts to .rdp and .vbp files don’t work
- Shortcut extension doesn’t work on Windows 98/Me
- Monitor names switched with some dualhead cards
- Scripting: can’t enable a monitor if it hasn’t been enabled using Display Properties at least once
- Even if ‘Hide modes that this monitor cannot display’ is unchecked for a monitor, UltraMon doesn’t show all possible refresh rates
- Smart Taskbar listed in Task Manager > Applications
- Smart Taskbar doesn’t adjust its size if a different visual style is selected or the appearance settings are modified
- Smart Taskbar autohide may no longer work after killing an application using Task Manager
- Smart Taskbar adds unneeded task button for Office XP applications when multiple non-maximized documents are open
- Smart Taskbar may not work if TraySaver is running
- Remote Desktop and Autohide Smart Taskbar
- Smart Taskbar issues with several third-party visual styles
- Smart Taskbar height not correct with Windows XP Classic look
- Smart Taskbar issue with Synergy
