Software Update: Ubuntu Linux 5.04 Live CD

The developers of Ubuntu yesterday released a first preview version of Ubuntu Linux 5.04, called ‘Hoary Hedgehog’. This preview is only available as a live CD and via this page from various FTP and HTTP servers. It is also possible to download the 5.04 release using BitTorrent. Ubuntu Linux is a Linux distribution based on an unstable branch of Debian. Over the past three months, the distro has worked its way into the top 5 of the most popular distributions, probably due to its rapid development, user-friendliness and that it is based on Debian.
