A forum member from nForcersHQ.com has put together a program called uAMDtool tinkered which calculates AMD’s PR rating of a processor with a Morgan, Palomino, Thunderbird, Barton, or AMD64 core. It is possible to make a comparison with another central processing unit and see at a glance whether the processor used is faster or slower than the reference CPU. uAMDtool is 207KB in size and from this location to take down. RocketMBA, the creator of the program, says the following:

uAMDtool integrates an accurate AMD Quantispeed PR rating calculator with other commonly used AMD-based tools. Added is a CPU stepping decoder which lists all known details about your specific CPU, a full list of stock AMD AthlonXP and Athlon64 settings so you can see how much performance you’re gaining from that higher FSB, and a clutter-free small version which can be invoked from the command line or from the main interface.[break][break]Note: The operation of uAMDtool is not yet optimal, as the above screenshot was taken on a Celeron 2 system and has a PR rating of 2000+.
