TotalIdea Software, known from Tweak-XP Pro and TweakVI, among others, is developing a similar program for Windows 7 under the name Tweak-7. This tweak program can handle both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7 , from release candidate build 7100 and above. After installation, the program can only be used for two weeks. That should not be a problem, because updates are released almost daily. Since the previous release in the Meuktracker, there have been several new releases and the status has been increased from beta 2 to beta 3. Below are the changes since build 535:

Beta 3 Build 555:

• The ‘Create system state shortcuts’ in the ‘Desktop tweaks’ feature was not working if shortcuts should be created for ‘All users’
• Several changes in the ‘File Wiper’ feature which increases the speed of file wiping through a random executions option
• Some improvements in the ‘Registry Defrag’ feature
• Added a tweak to the ‘Desktop tweaks’ section allowing it to remove the ‘Shortcut’ text when creating shortcuts

Beta 2 Build 550:

• Once again some improvements of the System CleanUp feature; now scanning for some additional unneeded files
• Fixing a bug that caused Tweak-7 not to save application settings properly
• A few changes to the setup

Beta 2 Build 548:

• Tweak-7 needed some time to unload completely if closed – this has been fixed
• Fixing an issue caused by special date separator characters
• Fixing an issue that caused some drop down list box items to duplicate themselves in the ‘Auto Shutdown’ feature
• The ‘System Cleanup’ feature now also scans for Windows Defender Logfiles and several additional unneeded file types
• A few improvements and optimizations

Beta 2 Build 546:

• Fixing a date conversion issue on startup which appeared on systems with a specific (non western) system calendar setting
• Several minor changes and improvements

Beta 2 Build 545:

• Several minor fixes in multiple features
• lots of improvements

Beta 2 Build 542:

• Fixing a minor issue that caused the drive status not to refresh properly in the ‘System CleanUp’ feature
• Improved System CleanUp and Registry CleanUp features
• Some changes to the setup

Beta 2 Build 540:

• Some improvements in the ‘Registry CleanUp’ feature
• Some improvements in the CD/DVD tweaks section
• Several other (minor) improvements in multiple sections
• Fixing an issue in the CD/DVD tweaks section where the cache tweak deactivated the CD / DVD tweaks

Beta 2 Build 538:

• Fixing an issue that caused some user interface items not to display properly
• Some minor changes

Beta 2 Build 537:

• Fixing a bug in the System CleanUp feature which occurred while Firefox was open during cleanup
• Fixing a minor issue in the ‘Shortcut overlay icon’ feature where the current icon was not displayed properly
• Fixing an issue in the ‘System CleanUp’ feature where the drive statistics were not refreshed after a cleanup
• Fixing an issue in the ‘Autostart Manager’ where .lnk shortcust where not detected as autostarts
• Some minor improvements in the ‘Autostart Manager’ feature
• Some minor improvements in the ‘System CleanUp’ feature
• A few changes to the setup
• Several other improvements

Beta 2 Build 536:

• Heaps of code optimizations and improvements
• Improved internet connection optimization
