Download The Dude 2.0 beta 8
The follow-up to The Dude 2.0 beta 7, released in August, can be downloaded from MikroTik’s site. This new version is numbered – how could it be otherwise – beta 8 and can continue here click to download the installation package. The Dude is a free-to-use network monitor for the Windows platform and is able to recognize connected network equipment in a subnet. The devices found are then graphically displayed in a kind of map, so that a visualized version of the network is available. In addition, The Dude indicates which services are running on the various equipment and a warning can be given when a service is no longer running. unlike the previous versions, the changelog of The Dude 2.0 has been updated, but unfortunately up to and including the seventh beta:
v2.0beta7:
- new built-in function – execute. Allows to make probes and data sources based on return value or output of exeternal programs
- new builtin function – device_property. Allows to use device field values in functions
- many bug fixes
