Download Tag&Rename 3.3 beta 1

Softpointer released the first beta release of version 3.3 of Tag&Rename yesterday. This program is intended for managing the music collection and has sufficient functionality on board with which files can be easily renamed and provided with so-called ID3 tags. Support for all popular formats is provided, including mp3, ogg, wma, m4a, mp4, flac and ape. ID3 tags can be customized manually, or with information from the freedb.org music databases or Amazon.com’s German and English versions. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

Changes in Tag&Rename 3.3 beta 1:

• Added wav files support (MUSICMATCH Jukebox style – ID3v2 tag added to ‘id3 ‘ wav chunk)
• It is possible to select now what information need to be saved from freedb
• Now Tag&Rename status bar show size of selected files in program files list
• Improved ID3v2.4 tags support (can correctly read any kind of 2.4 tags now)
• Added full read support for ID3v2.4 UTF8 encoded tags
• Album Artist field in mp4 tag now compatible with iTunes 7
• Winamp control now work with latest Winamp versions
• Removed additional PCDJ frames support
• Fixed bug with “Quick Save Playlist” function handling playlist
• Namemasks containing “../”
• Added “Compilation” column into file list
