Soulseek is a P2P exchange service that does not contain adware or spyware. However, a central server is used which has been bothered by DNS problems lately. Version 149c has recently been released and comes with the following release notes:

A screwup in 149b came into play when the old slsk.org domain got picked up today, which is why you can’t connect. Get 149c for a quick fix. Don’t forget to backup your *.cfg files!
