Software Update: Pixie 1.3.12

Pixie is an open-source application for creating photo-realistic renders. The development team hopes that Pixie can eventually be used in graphics studies and by people who can’t afford commercial render packages. Support for programmable shading, motion blur, depth of field, ray tracing, scan-line rendering, area-light sources and occlusion culling is included. Version 1.3.12 has recently been released which fixes the following bug:

Trace with transparent objects:

If a trace is not terminated by an interaction with an opaque object, it has no effect – even if it’s touched transparent objects already.
