Pidgin is an instant messaging client for Windows and Unix-like operating systems that supports multiple IM protocols. This allows messages to be exchanged via various IM networks, such as MSN, AIM, Xmpp, ICQ and irc. The developers have released a new version with 2.4.3 as the version number. Here you can find several solutions for numerous small bugs and also solve a number of memory leaks. The included list of changes looks like this:

- Yahoo! Japan now uses UTF-8, matching the behavior of official clients and restoring compatibility with the web messenger (Yusuke Odate)

- Fix crashes in the bonjour protocol
