Software update: Paint.NET 2.1b

Spread the love

The developers behind Paint.NET have released a second minor update to their version 2.1 released at the end of April. This program can be seen as a replacement for the MS Paint included with Windows and is being developed in C# by some people from Washington State University in collaboration with Microsoft. The software only works under Windows XP or 2000 and of course the .NET FrameWork will have to be installed. In version 2.1b some bugs have been fixed that in some cases could lead to a crash of the program. Below are all the differences compared to version 2.1:

Changes in 2.1b:

  • This small updated fixes a crash when resizing an image with a new width but the same height.

Changes in 2.1a:

  • This small update fixed a few crashes that people were experiencing related to the “Open” and “Save As” dialogs. If you are not experiencing these crashes with v2.1 then you do not need to download this update.
