Download Opera 7.52

Opera Software has updated its web browser with the unsurprising name Opera to 7.52. The browser, which offers tabbed browsing, a popup blocker and an email program with an extensive spam filter, among other things, is available for Linux, Macintosh and Windows systems. The changelog accompanying this release shows the following changes:

• Security:
  • Fixed a URI obfuscation weakness enabling impersonation of legitimate web sites. Illegal characters in addresses will be stripped. This addresses Security Focus Bugtraq ID #10517.
  • Solved frame injection vulnerability that allowed for spoofing (Secunia Advisory SA11978).
  • Solved certificate verification problem.
