Download Opera 11.10 Build 2048 Beta

Opera has released a beta release of version 11.10 of its web browser of the same name. The Norwegian company has browsers for all major computing platforms and for a wide range of mobile platforms. The browser offers tabs, can be controlled with mouse gestures, has an embedded download manager and offers protection against phishing and malware. Not only can you surf with Opera, but you can also send e-mails; there is a built-in bittorrent client and you can chat via irc or with Opera’s own developed social network Unite. Since version 11.00 Opera uses version 2.7 of the rendering engine Presto, which should improve speed and stability. The functionality can also be further expanded with the help of extensions, tabs can be stacked and there is an auto-update function. In version 11.10, among other things, the speed dial page has been improved and it has become easier to install the flash plug-in.

Opera Software today set loose the beta of its Opera 11.10 browser, codenamed “Barracuda”. Barracuda inherits the streamlined design of its forebears, while its ongoing evolution has resulted in smarter features and faster performance. Download it today for Windows, Mac and Linux computers.
