Software Update: Nikon Capture NX-D 1.6.5

Nikon Capture NX-D is photo processing software and offers features specifically designed for the post-processing of raw images. In addition to processing raw images, the software can also be used to enhance jpeg and tiff images taken with Nikon digital cameras through adjustments to brightness, contrast, tone curves and more. Version 1.6.5 has recently been released with the following changes:

Changes from version 1.6.4 to 1.6.5

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the software from opening photos captured with the iPhone 12 (the extension should be changed from “.JPEG” to “.JPG”).
  • Fixed an issue that caused large changes in hue when files in the AdobeRGB color space were saved in JPEG format.
  • Added support for macOS Big Sur (version 11).
  • Ended support for macOS High Sierra (version 10.13).

Changes from version 1.6.3 to 1.6.4

  • Added support for the Z 7II and Z 6II.
  • Fixed an issue where photos could not be viewed on the Microsoft Surface Pro 7.
  • Fixed an issue that caused colors in some photos previewed with Fit to Screen to become less saturated when Camera and Lens Adjustments > Longitudinal Chrom. aberration was turned on.
