Software Update: Mumble 1.2.10

Mumble is an open source and cross platform VoIP program. Clients are available for Windows, OS X, Linux, and iOS. Communication always takes place over an encrypted connection and has a low latency. If it is used within games, an overlay can be used to show who is speaking and in addition the program is able to recognize the position of the other person and reproduce the sound in such a way that you can hear where that player is located. . Version 1.2.10 of Mumble was released Friday and this release ships with a newer version of OpenSSL to fix a security problem.

Mumble 1.2.10

The Mumble team has released version 1.2.10 of the Mumble VoIP application. Version 1.2.10 is a security release in the stable 1.2-series of Mumble.

This release updates OpenSSL to 1.0.1p. This version of OpenSSL fixes “Alternative chain certificate forgery” (CVE-2015-1793). There are no source changes to Mumble itself in this build. The version bump is only relevant to our binary releases.
