Media Player Classic (MPC) is an open source media player for Windows platform developed by the writer of VobSub. The program is capable of displaying subtitles for movies, and further supports pan&scan, zoom and aspect ratio changes. In addition, it is possible to play these formats using Real Media and Quicktime codecs without having to install the original player. A changelog is unfortunately not available, but satcp was able to tell us that a bug has been removed. This made it impossible to select a sound card if there were multiple sound cards in the computer.
