Tuesday is nicknamed ‘Khepri‘ released the final release of the popular open source CMS program Joomla 1.5. Joomla is the phonetic spelling of the word ‘Jumla’, which in Swahili means ‘all together’ or ‘in the whole’. The program is a fork of mambo and is a dynamic system written in PHP that allows the user to manage, organize and publish content. That way it can be used to create a weblog, website and/or collaboration site. Overview

Joomla! 1.5 Stable ushers in a new era for the project. Over the last 2 1/2 years the code base has been melted down and reforged into a carefully organized, object-oriented framework. The user interface has been thoroughly refined to improve usability and simplify administrative tasks. To simplify life for designers, the templating system has been expanded to allow meticulous control over core markup as well as an all new template configuration interface.
