Software Update: HDD Temperature Beta 3
Laszlo pointed us to the PalickSoft site where you can download a beta of a tool with which you can get the temperature of your HD in your systray. The program can cooperate with MBM5. For success you need a new IDE HD connected to the motherboard via the chipset. External IDE controllers are not supported:
General Information:
HDD Temperature is a very small and very simple program. It runs in background and show in the system tray current temperature of your hard drives. Right-click on the temperature icon to show menu, left-click to run settings.
Now HDD Temperature supports integration with Motherboard Monitor (MBM) – we add all your hard drives starting from “Sensor 5” of MBM. To use it just set sensor type to “Custom”.
Multilingual support: For beginning of translate – copy English.lng into the yourlanguage.lng Please, translate text only after symbol ‘=’.
Limitations: There is one limitation in multilingual support – your system locale must be identical to chosen language. If not, you can see unusual characters. For example, if your current system locale is English, but you choose Japanese – you don’t see translation.
Requirements:
- Under Windows NT/2000 you must have administrative rights to run it.
- Only IDE hard drives supported.
- External (Additional or RAID) controllers not supported.
- Only new (modern) hard drives can show it’s temperature. If you don’t see temperature in the system tray – your hard drive doesn’t support this feature
