GSview is a graphical interface for Ghostscript. Ghostscript is an interpreter for the PostScript page description language used by laser printers. It also allows you to view documents created according to the Adobe PostScript Document Structuring Conventions, which are better known under the description PDF documents. The new beta version 4.41 is now available under the Aladdin Free Public License which means it is freeware and partially open-source. The following release notes are available:

GSview 4.41 beta test is now available. This includes Windows, OS/2 and Linux executables. The major changes are:

  • Fix Page Offset when printing.
  • Fix slow behavior when displaying on remote X11 server.
  • Fix crash in X11 version when the LANG environment variable is not set.
  • A few other minor bug fixes.
  • GSview 4.41 beta can be found in the beta section.

This beta will expire at the end of November 2003.[break]The following downloads are ready:
