Download GrabIt 1.4.7 beta

on Shemes fieldmouse found a new version of GrabIt. This newsgrabber merges split newsgroup binaries. Of course it is also possible to post and read messages. In beta version 1.4.7, some new features have been added and minor adjustments have been made to improve the operation of the program. The changelog leaves the following list:

Changes:

• Improved error handling / reporting;
• Disconnects are now properly handled (graceful disconnects);
• TrayIcon will now automatically restore itself when explorer.exe crashes;
• Some general optimizations;
• Automatic system shutdown feature that can turn off your computer when the batch is finished;
• New control options in the tray icon popup;
• Group updates now show the name of the group being updated in the subject field in the batch screen;
• Added ‘Update group headers’ options in the server right-click pop-up menu;
• The download thread uses a lot less memory while doing an incremental group update;
• Enabled the possibility to download incomplete binaries (config option / right mouse click option);
• Right-clicking on an article now offers the option to copy the article subject to the clipboard;
• Made changes in the group analyzer code to kill the corrupting bot-posts;
• ‘Grab to folder’ and ‘Grab with prefix’ will now remember the last entered folder / prefix.
