Download FreeNAS 0.522
FreeNAS is a complete software solution to set up a machine as a NAS. The whole is based on a stripped-down FreeBSD installation and provided with a clear web interface. It has onboard support for CIFS, FTP, NFS and Software RAID. In addition, it can be installed on a Compact Flash, hard disk or a USB stick without any problems. The developers have released version 0.522 with the following changes:
Version 0.522:
- The ataidle tools is not used when the ATA parameter are to default (this tools can create some problems)
- Fix the size of USB drive.
Version 0.52:
- New features:
- The install program can create 2 partitions on the destination drive. This permit to use only one drive for FreeNAS and sharing data.
- a FreeNAS RAW image file is available now (for direct copy on CF and upgrade from WEB GUI)
- Upgrade from the Web GUI is functional now (but you can test it for the next release)
- Check for new release (You must configure the DNS and the gateway for this feature)
- Configurable Standby time, Advanced Power Management, and acoustic level for each ATA disks
- Beginning to add the serial port support (you should see the kernel messages)
- Change the network card polling method (use ifconfig now)
- Internal change: Updating PHP 4.4.0 to 4.4.2
- Remove the mount CDROM option
- fix an error display when click on clear log on samba log
