Emsisoft has released version 2017.05 of Anti-Malware and Internet Security. Anti-Malware protects against viruses and other types of malware, while Internet Security also has a firewall on board. A license for Anti-Malware costs four tens and for Internet Security that is five. The programs are suitable for Windows 7 or higher and can be tested for 30 days. After those thirty days, the programs switch to free mode, which can scan and uninstall, but offers no real-time protection. In version 12, the detection of ransomware has been improved, among other things. The following improvements have also been made in this update:

Emsisoft Anti-Malware & Emsisoft Internet Security 2017.5:

• New main guard component “Anti-Ransomware” to emphasize the trusted ransomware protection abilities that were previously part of the Behavior Blocker component.
• New scan setting “Scan in email data files” that allows you to include or to skip the scan of potentially large email files.
• Lowered the number of false positive alerts.
• User interface and user experience improvements.
• Several minor detection-related improvements.
• Fixed a number of potential crash bugs.

Emsisoft Enterprise Console 2017.5:

• Fixed a bug that caused some clients to unexpectedly disconnect during Windows 10 Creator’s Update.
• A new “Detect Potentially Unwanted Programs” option is now available for scheduled scans.
• Improvements in policies, reports, installation/uninstall and settings menus.
• Migrated the product to .NET 4.5 platform.
