Download DisplayFusion 4.2

Binary Fortress Software has released version 4.2 of DisplayFusion. With this program it is possible to manage a multimonitor setup. For example, a separate background or screensaver can be set per screen and programs can be opened on a screen to be determined by the user. A license costs about 20 euros or 29 euros for all computers in a household. There is also a free version, but of course it has less possibilities. Changes:

• Hold ‘shift’ while middle-clicking to move a window to previous monitor instead of the next monitor
• New Advanced Setting: Enable custom Alt+Tab Handler
• New Advanced Setting: Disable Wallpaper History
• New Advanced Setting: Adjust taskbar shortcut gap size
• New Advanced Setting: Ignore Monitors (specify monitors that DisplayFusion should ignore for things like ‘move to next monitor’)
• For Administrators: Previously enabled settings no longer get disabled when tabs are hidden by admin/group policy. The settings on hidden tabs will need to be specifically disabled using the other policies.

Fixed:

• Windows 8 compatibility and performance improvements
• General UI, compatibility and performance improvements for all versions of Windows
• Taskbar start button no longer overlaps shortcuts in some situations
• Taskbar shortcuts without icons can now be un-pinned by right-clicking on them
• Resolved some taskbar button combining issues (Chrome, Git)
• Taskbar compatibility improvements (FTP Rush, Transmission Remote GUI…etc)
• Resolved some taskbar WindowBlinds issues
• TitleBar Button compatibility improvements (Office 2013, Visual Studio 2012…etc)
• Hanging issues at shutdown are resolved
• Window scaling issues have been resolved on lower resolution monitors
• “Download with DisplayFusion” from WallpaperFusion now looks correct with portrait monitors
• Windows no longer return quickly to their old position when being moved with the Functions (only affected a few apps)
• Improved Window Location detection/response
• Resolved some application hooking issues
• Windows Location compatibility improvements
• Resolved issues related to high-contract themes
• MMO launchers no longer crash when hooked (CO, STO…etc)
• Transparency Functions now work as expected on more windows
• sys-boottime wallpaper tag now uses regional formatting for long date
• Window Location wildcard rules no longer affect overlay windows or Screen Saver windows
