Binary Fortress Software has released a new version of DisplayFusion. With the help of this program it is possible to manage a multimonitor setup. For example, a separate wallpaper can be set per screen and programs can be opened on a screen determined by the user. Photos can also be flickr and VladStudio be placed or retrieved from those sites and used directly as wallpaper on the desktop. Changed:

  • Added a new Advanced Setting called “Wallpaper Startup Change Delay” for manually adjusting the amount of the time DisplayFusion will wait after start-up before trying to change the wallpaper
  • Added a new Advanced Setting called “TitleBar Button Horizontal Offset” for manually controlling the location of the TitleBar Buttons
  • Each DisplayFusion window now has a “Help” button that links to the online documentation for that window
  • When DisplayFusion is run for the first time it shows a balloon notification to show new users where the DisplayFusion icon is located
  • Added a button on the TitleBar Buttons tab in the Settings window to reset the TitleBar Buttons back to the defaults
  • No longer using any global low-level mouse hooks, only application level hooks – this results in much less mouse stuttering
  • Now checks for application updates once per day, in addition to checking on startup when the “Auto-update” setting is enabled

Fixed:

  • “Move to Next/Previous Monitor” HotKeys no longer put Internet Explorer 6, 7 or 8 into full screen mode
  • Taskbar compatibility improvements: Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2007
  • TitleBar Button compatibility improvements: BPFTP, Windows Media Player, Adobe PhotoShop
  • Better debug logging for failed wallpaper image loading
  • Taskbars should no longer be duplicated/stacked in rare situations
  • Taskbars should no longer appear away from the bottom of the monitor (when it should be locked to the bottom)
  • Lower CPU usage when polling for monitor changes
  • Lower CPU usage when using the TitleBar Buttons
  • Settings window now looks and functions correctly when Windows font scaling is in use
  • Flickr image search no longer locks up when opening the window in rare situations
  • The “Add File” and “Add Folder” wallpaper buttons now correctly remember the last used folder location
  • Default TitleBar Button wasn’t being created on the first run
  • Full compatibility with Microsoft Office 2010 Beta 1
  • Text should no longer appear vertical in the Settings window in rare situations
  • HotKeys can no longer manipulate the Start Menu when focused
  • Taskbar items now update instantly when being dragged between monitors, not just when the mouse button is released
  • Settings window would sometimes lock up when removing the license key when using more than 1 TitleBar Button
