Download Dameware NT Utilities 7.5.5.0

Dameware Development has released version 7.5.5.0 of Dameware NT Utilities. The programs are intended for remote management and administration of Windows workstations, servers and domains. The NT Utilities include an extensive Active Directory Object Browser and the programs Mini Remote Control and exporter. The software can be fully tested for 30 days before purchase. The main changes in version 7 are support for ipv6 and nat traversal; there are separate 32 and 64 bit downloads of the Mini Remote Control and the program can be started from an external source, for example a USB stick. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

NT Utilities:

• Drag/drop of a dwabin.txt file containing a DNTU license sometimes would not work in DNTU, but it would work OK in DMRC. Fixed.

Mini Remote Control:

• Minor Protocol Revision. Current v7.x users will not be forced to update the DMRC Client Agent Service on the remote machine, provided they are already running version 7.0 or above. A red warning dialog will be displayed instead. However, we recommend you update the Client Agent on the remote machine as soon as possible. Otherwise, some features may not work properly. Version 6.x Clients will require a forced upgrade.
• Potential disconnect when using Proxy. Fixed.
• Updating Client Agent from v6.x to v7.x may not include the DWRCS.reg configuration file. Fixed.
• Potential socket timeout [Winsock 10060] when requesting permission. Fixed. *
• Reverse Connection (Connect to Client) Host dialog & Proxy Host dialog may not display all characters. Fixed. *
• Multiple connections to same machine at same time could distort text in Notify dialog. Also, 2nd connected user may not be able to obtain keyboard control. Fixed. *

MSI Builder:

• Enhancements to both Service and Driver installation/removal processes.
• Suppressed ?DOS? windows from being displayed during optional Driver Installation via MSI Builder package.
• Potential crash of DMRC Client Agent when installed via MSI Builder package. Fixed.
• Winsock 10091 or 10093 errors may be seen in Application Event Log when Client Agent installed via MSI Builder package. Fixed.

DEXP:

• Drag/drop of a dwabin.txt file containing a DNTU license sometimes would not work in DEXP, but it would work OK in DMRC.
