Software Update: ClearTweak 2.7

Spread the love

ClearType is a standard Windows XP function to improve the image display on LCD monitors in particular. Mike Dixon of ioIsland has now written a program to adjust ClearType’s contrast settings. The program goes by the name ClearTweak and version 2.7 was released yesterday. The changelog of the last two versions looks like this:

What’s New In Version 2.7

  • Bug Fixes

What’s New In Version 2.6

  • Red-Green-Blue (RGB) and Blue-Green-Red (BGR) setting for monitors that use a reverse pixel arrangement. This is rare, but there are some monitors out there that are BGR. You must have Windows XP Service Pack 1 or later for this option to be enabled.
(The Dell 1800FP LCD is one example of a BGR LCD).
  • Fixed window size problem for machines that had a font setting larger than standard.
