Download Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare mod tools 1.0

The American developer Infinity Ward has released the mod tools of the shooter Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game is based on a homemade engine and the now released tools are also made by Infinity Ward.

The 600MB package consists of the editor, a number of binaries for the 3d program Maya and some additional tools. These tools can be used not only for creating maps for the game, but also for a complete conversion. The tools can only be used if the game is installed and updated to version 1.4, but will only run under Windows XP and not under Vista. A graphics card that supports Shader Model 3.0 is required and the .Net Framework 2.0 must also be installed. For playing the game, a Directx 8 card is sufficient, but for the tools, a Directx 9 card is the minimum.
